Job 25

1 Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:

2 Dominion and dread belong to him, the one who establishes harmony in his heights.

3 Can his troops be numbered? Does his light not shine on everyone?

4 How can a human be justified before God? How can one born of woman be pure?

5 If even the moon does not shine and the stars are not pure in his sight,

6 how much less a human, who is a maggot, a son of man, who is a worm!

Chapter Summary

In a brief final speech, Bildad declares that no one born of woman can be righteous before the majestic God.

Book Summary

Job wrestles with the suffering of a righteous man who loses everything yet refuses to curse God. Through dialogues with his friends and God's answer from the whirlwind, the book probes faith, justice, and the limits of human understanding.
